Backing up your HTC Wildfire S' ROM is important in case something bad happens. For example, you could accidentally remove a system app, accidentally install a virus or mess up installing a new ROM. Luckily, backing up your HTC Wildfire S is pretty simple. First of all, make sure you install the clockwork recovery mod . You cannot backup your ROM without it. Once you have installed the clockwork recovery mod, go to Settings > Power and Uncheck fastboot. Now turn off your phone and remove the battery for 5 seconds. Re-insert the battery. Once you have followed these steps, hold the power button and the volume down button at the same time. This will bring up a white menu. Using the volume buttons, go down to recovery and press the power button on your phone to select it. It will now load Clockwork recovery mod. Once it has loaded, using the volume buttons highlight "backup and restore." Select it using the power button. Now select backup using the power button. ...

To be able to take advantage of sense 3.5 and 4.0, you will need to root your HTC Wildfire S and Install the Clockwork Recovery Mod . HTC Sense 3.5 ROM The HTC Sense 3.5 ROM I am showing you is by m1ndh4x8r . It is based off of the "HTC_Marvel_idogx_2.3.5_Sense3.5_0210" ROM and has ICS transitions, battery percentage, an overclocked Kernel and comes with Busybox.
